Best. Summer. Ever. All because of you.

Enjoying a fieldtrip at the zoo!

At Camp ARC, an inclusive day camp that ran for seven weeks this summer, children experienced sensory-skill building, positive social interactions, and continued access to therapeutic services, in addition to all the fun activities you would expect at summer camp, like field trips and frequent excursions to the pool.  We thank all those community members who made Camp ARC happen.  This year was such a success, we’ve already started planning for next summer!

To coincide with Camp ARC, we intiated our first youth volunteer program this summer. After attending trainings on First Aid/CPR and person-centered relationship skills, our wonderful group of volunteers worked and played side-by-side with our campers and staff all summer long!

Volunteer Spotlight: Our friends at Greenbriar Church have served the individuals at ARC so thoughtfully and selflessly all year!  From holiday events and a storm respite afternoon for area families with autism to setting up a salon in our Adult Day Center, Greenbriar Church is helping us spread our mission to create life-changing solutions for people with disabilities throughout the community.
Adult Day friends enjoyed our eclipse party on August 21st.
ARC individual Matthew served as a self-advocate during Lee County’s law enforcement ALERT (Autism Law Enforcement Response Training) session earlier this month.
