New Year = More Support for Autism Families

You’re invited!

Recently, the Georgia State DBHDD contracted with The University of New Hampshire Institute on Disability (IOD) to study mental health and crisis services for people who have ID/DD in Georgia and to make recommendations on improving those services. One component of this study is a focus group with family members to ask them about their experiences with the current service system. The group will take one hour and your experiences will be combined with experiences from other families to provide feedback to DBHDD on service needs for individuals with ID/DD in Georgia and their families.

Please plan to join us on January 24 from 6-7 PM at our 2200 Stuart Avenue location to participate in this important initiative.

Another component of this study is individual telephone interviews with family members to discuss their experiences with the service system. The interview, conducted by the IOD, should take about 15-20 minutes, and all responses are completely confidential.
If you are willing to participate in this process, please contact the study project manager, Ann Klein, at ann.klein@unh.edu or 513-377-1464. We look forward to hearing from you.
