Camp ARC Round Two Off to a Great Start!

Posted on Posted in Uncategorized

After a successful inaugural session in 2017, Camp ARC is back for its second year!  Providing a fully-inclusive summer day camp experience for elementary- and middle-school-aged students in the Albany area, our days are filled with fun in the sun, swimming, and field trips, in addition to maintaining the hard work our campers complete throughout the school year via occupational, physical, speech, and behavioral therapies.

Concurrently, our Camp ARC youth volunteers are back!  After completing a training that prepares our volunteers to handle first-aid/emergency situations, disability awareness, and person-centered language skills, our awesome volunteers serve as important supports for our campers, forming important bonds that span across age and community lines.  Follow our summertime fun on Facebook and Instagram @albanygaarc.  Special thanks to United Way of Southwest Georgia and Junior League of Albany for supporting Camp ARC and our programs that help us fulfill our mission of providing life-changing solutions for individuals with disabilities.
